Honest Beauty by Ilcsi
Ilcsi (pronounced il-chi), the organic Hungarian skin care, was created by Ilona Molnar, or Aunt Ilcsi as she is affectionately known, and is a result of her life-long commitment to all-natural beauty, based on scientific research.
Ilcsi skincare products are unique — made in small batches from organically grown and handpicked herbs, fruits, and vegetables, they contain the highest possible levels of natural active ingredients. Our products are made of more than 100 different natural ingredients, most of which are grown on our organic farm in Hungary.
Immediately after harvesting, all fruit and herbal ingredients are formulated and minimally processed under specially controlled conditions to maintain the vitality of the natural active ingredients. We use whole raw pulps, not extracts, to preserve and maximize the natural benefits.
For some of our products, we use thermal water from Lake Hajduszoboszlo (not far from where Aunt Ilcsi was born). This subterranean thermal lake was discovered in 1925 — scientists found that the waters of this ancient sea were rich with rare minerals and a perfect 9.5pH.
Our products and production methods are certified natural by international certification agencies — BDIH (Germany) and COSMOS (Belgium).
The certification criteria cover use of natural ingredients, farming practices, avoidance of certain harmful chemicals, promotion of environmentally friendly production processes, etc.
Our respect for nature means we respect all living beings — Ilcsi products are vegan and cruelty free. We do not carry out tests on animals and do not use any ingredients of animal origin.
Ilcsi products do not contain genetically modified ingredients (GMOs), are nut free, gluten free, and we do not use artificial colors or fragrances.

The certification is awarded to natural cosmetics manufactured within the framework of the COSMOS organic and natural cosmetics standard defined by sustainability, reliability, and trustworthiness.
COSMOS requires that manufacturers use sustainable packaging and environmentally friendly materials in the production process.
Certified manufacturers should minimize waste and recycle. During storage and packaging, strict purity standards must be met. In particular, the use of chlorinated plastics is prohibited. Each qualified product is reviewed annually for compliance with the qualification regulations.
